Jeremy and Beth

Jeremy and Beth Bennett are our great friends. Jeremy and Dom were fraternity brothers. Beth and Jeremy started dating a year before us. We hung-out some during college but our friendship didn't take-off until after we all graduated and moved to Kansas City. Now, I don't know what I would do without them. Beth is just like me. She likes to be in control and needs organization. Jeremy has a great sense-of-humor and is very caring. Jeremy and Dom like to joke around together and Beth and I have the same reaction to them (roll our eyes and say, "What can I say?"). We make a great group!

A few years ago, Beth started talking about having kids. She tried to convince me that getting pregnant at the same time and raising our kids together was a good idea. Her idea was great but she was a few years ahead of us. We knew we couldn't have kids as early as she wanted them.

Unfortunately, Beth and Jeremy had many struggles getting pregnant. Beth doesn't ovulate regularly and she has a blocked fallopian tube. They have been seeing a fertility specialist who has prescribed them medication, and most recently, recommended that they do IUIs. Their first IUI resulted in a pregnancy but she miscarried very early on. In March, she was getting ready for her second IUI only to find out that she didn't produce any eggs on her "good" side, for the third month in a row. She was frustrated, but anxious to move on to her next cycle. Well, after weeks of waiting for her period, she finally went to her doctor. She was ready to get a medication to make her have her period only to find out that she wasn't getting her period because she was PREGNANT! There is no explanation for how this happened but they were extatic (and so were we!)!

Everything is going very well with Beth's pregnancy. She is now 15 weeks and due December 8th.

Her pregnancy was discovered around the time that Dom and I were in talks about trying to get pregnant ourselves. I was so worried about how they would react if we got pregnant and they still weren't. It was a huge relief when she found out she was pregnant!

So after it all, Beth and I will be pregnant at the same time and our babies will only be 2 1/2 months apart. It's funny how fate works.
