5 weeks

I found out I was pregnant on Tuesday, June 10th. 5 weeks later, on Tuesday, July 15th, I had my miscarriage. Five weeks after my miscarriage is today.

That means I have been unpregnant for as long as I KNEW I was pregnant.

I'm sad about this but I can't pinpoint why.

In other news, today was the students' first day of school. I went well. The students and teachers are always anxious, yet excited. The real heroes on the first day of school are kindergarten teachers. Do you know what it is like to try and get twenty 5-year-olds, many of which have never been to school before, to sit at their desks, walk down the hall in a line, raise their hands to talk, and complete routines for using the restroom and eating lunch without complete chaos breaking loose? It's amazing to watch a kindergarten teacher at work on the first day of school. They are so patient, so positive.

I won't start seeing my students until Monday. I'm still working on my schedule and getting paperwork organized. I did spend my morning bouncing from class to class, checking on my students that I was worried would have a hard time transitioning back to school, specifically the ones with Autism. Fortunately, they did pretty well! And I was able to catch a glimpse of many of my other students in the mean time.

The PERIOD WATCH continues. I am still spotting. I have continued to do the ovulation predictor kits but that are beyond negative. I'm just not sure what is going on and I didn't want to miss ovulation if this isn't my period. I think I am going to finally give in and starting temping. I'm hoping it will give me more information.

UGH it's crazy how weeks and days and months and dates and time will now link to our miscarriages. I hope one day we will forget all these dates!!
