Our first son, Ethan Jacob, was born on May 18, 09 after a miscarriage in July of 2008.

- November 22, 2010- The BIG ultrasound! It's a healthy baby GIRL! She weighed 10 oz and was measuring 19w2d (I was 18w6d) and had a heartrate of 153.
- October 5, 2010-Had our first trimester screening ultrasound. All looks good! Baby was measuring 12w3d (I was 12w0d) and has a 1:10,000 chance of having trisomy 13, 18, or 21.
- September 7, 2010- Follow-up ultrasound. Baby was measuring 8 weeks 0 days (right on!), had a heart rate of 165 bpm, and was 1.5 cm long.
- August 23, 2010- Ultrasound! Baby was measuring 5 weeks 6 days and was 2 mm long. We could see a tiny hearbeat but it was still too small to be picked up by the doppler on the ultrasound machine. EDD- April 19, 2011!
- August 17, 2010- Beta HCG is 7927 and Progesterone is (still) 15.8.
- August 10, 2010- Beta HCG is 168 and Progesterone is 15.8. I'm pregnant (albeit early!) with our unplanned blessing!
- August 6, 2010- SURPRISE positive HPT! I haven't had AF since Ethan was born and completely weaned him 3 weeks earlier. I don't have a LMP or know when I O'ed!
- May 18, 2009- Ethan Jacob was born at 7:37 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs, 6 oz and was 20.5 inches long. He is as perfect as we imagined in our dreams!
- March 4, 2009- Saw our handsome boy in 3D/4D!
- February 27, 2009- Last of six ultrasounds after my Fifth's Diease exposure. Another great ultrasound! Looks like we have passed the 8 week incubation period that is possible with Fifth's Disease with no negative effects to our Baby boy!
- February 20, 2009- Limitied ultrasound. Baby still look very healthy!
- February 13, 2009- Growth ultrasound. Still no signs of Fifth's! Baby was measuring 27 weeks 3 days (I was 26 weeks 0 days), had a heart rate of 147 bpm, and weighed 2 lbs 5 oz (75th percentile).
- February 6, 2009- Another "limited" ultrasound and another appointment with great news! Heart rate was 147 bpm.
- January 30, 2009- "Limited" ultrasound with Perinatolgost. Blood flow to his brain is still appropriate.
- January 23, 2009- Consult and level II "growth" ultrasound with a Perinatologist due to Fifth's Disease/Parvovius exposure. Baby wasn't showing any signs of being infected with the virus (did not have increased blood flow to his brain). He had a heart rate of 157 bpm and weighed 1 lb. 10 oz. We will continue to be monitored with weekly ultrasounds for the next 6 weeks.
- January 14, 2009- I tested positive for Fifths Disease/Parvovirus exposure after an outbreak at my school. We knew I didn't have immunity to the virus from earlier bloodwork.
- December 23, 2008- The BIG ultrasound. IT'S A BOY! He was measuring 19 weeks 2 days (I was 18 weeks 4 days), had a heart rate of 162 bpm, and weighed 10 oz. He looked very healthy!
- November 10, 2008- Had the first trimester screening ultrasound. Everything looked normal! The baby was measuring 13 weeks 0 days (I was 12 weeks 3 days) and had a heart rate of 163.
- November 7, 2008- 12 weeks! We made it!
- October 31, 2008- Got a quick glimpse of the baby jumping around on the portable ultrasound machine during my OB appointment. No measurements were taken, but the baby's heart rate was 174 on external doppler.
- October 17, 2008- Had a "just for fun" ultrasound. The baby was measuring 9 weeks 2 days (I was 9 weeks 0 days), and had a heart rate of 171.
- October 10, 2008- Ultrasound to monitor progress. The baby was measuring 8 weeks 3 days (I was 8 weeks 0 days), was 1.87 cm long, and had a heart rate of 182. Still looking great! Dr. decides to keep due date May 22, 2009 based on my LMP, not the baby's current size.
- September 29, 2008- Ultrasound due to spotting the night before. The baby was measuring 6 weeks 6 days (I was 6 weeks 3 days), was 9 mm long, and had a heart rate of 128. Everything looked normal!
- September 9, 2008- At 13 dpo, Beta HCG was 363 and progesterone was 15.4.
- September 6, 2008- Positive HPT at 10 dpo. Beta HCG was 39 and progesterone was 13.1.
- August 27, 2008-Predicted ovulation day, CD 13
- August 25 pm, 26 am and pm, and 27 am, 2008-Positive OPKs
- August 15-19, 2008-Spotting. Is this AF?
- August, 2008-Waiting for AF so we can start trying again.
- August 7, 2008- At 23 days post-miscarriage, my Beta HCG is 3. I'm offically unpregnant!
- July 31, 2008-At 16 days post-miscarriage, my Beta HCG is 11. Almost to ZERO!
- July 24, 2008-At 9 days post-miscarriage, my Beta HCG is 50.
- July 15, 2008-Natural miscarriage at 8 weeks 3 days.
- July 14, 2008-Worst day! Third ultrasound after spotting turns to bleeding. Baby does not have heartbeat and is only measuring 7 weeks 3 days, when I was actually 8 weeks 2 days. Diagnosed with a Missed Miscarriage.
- July 8, 2008-Second ultrasound to check the baby after spotting and cramping. Everything is okay! Baby's heart rate was 156 bpm, measured 9.8 mm in length, and was 7 weeks 4 days in size (one day ahead). Blood work reveals my progesterone level was 14.
- June 24, 2008-First OB appointment and ultrasound. Baby's heart rate was 90 bpm, measured 2 mm in length, and was determined to be 5 weeks 3 days (3 days smaller then my calculations). Official due date is February 21, 2009!
- June 14, 2008-Beta #2 at 18 days past ovulation is 907, it's doubling!
- June 12, 2008-Beta #1 at 16 days post ovulaton is 350, confirms pregnancy
- June 10, 2008-Positive HPT
- May 26 pm and 27 am, 2008-Positive OPKs
- May 3, 2008-AF arrived
- April, 2008-Decided to start TTC in May, why wait?
- March, 2008-Decided to start TTC in June.

OMG did you ever test last month when you had a little spotting?! Only 10 DPO?! May be you were pregnant last month?! Those digitals only go down to 50 HCG! That's amazing for so early! Twins or 8 weeks pregnant, my prediction :)

I know, I was shocked with PREGNANT popped up on the digital! I also took a First Response test and it had a faint line so I know it's not a malfunction with the digital! It's real!
I did test when I had my spotting last month and it was negative. I've also been testing since Wednesday of this week (Only 7dpo, but I couldn't help myself! I am a poas-aholic!) and they've all been negatives. Today was my first positive so I know that I'm newly pregnant!
When I was pregnant earlier in the summer my HCG levels were VERY HIGH early on. 350 at 16 dpo and 907 at 18 dpo! Maybe that is the case with this one too. I guess I will find out on Monday.
I'm in as much shock as you are! Can you tell I've played out all of your questions in my head already?
